I was in the shower a few days ago when, all of a sudden, I had a beautiful insight into how to move into the next iteration of me and my life, a life unbound by time and place.
For a number of years, I created transformational media content - primarily audio, but recently I’ve also created video courses and publications.
I have recorded hundreds of hours of courses, talks, meditations, prayers, and so on that, over the years, have touched more than half a million people around the globe.
For years, I hosted all this content on my own app, The Path To Freedom App, but over the last couple of years, life pulled me farther away from being a content creator, and I closed the app altogether a while ago.
Most of the content now lives on global meditation apps such as Insight Timer and the Aura Health app, and while closing down the Freedom App brought a sense of relief as it drained me of energy more than it gave, a part of me also felt it was a waste to no longer offer this deeply transformational content to the world.
As we are living in a friendly universe, though, when one door closes, another even greater door opens. So, standing in the shower, I suddenly realized the Path to Freedom App didn’t have to be permanently closed down; I was simply being invited to find it a new home.
Spirit reminded me that Substack offers a beautiful interface for both audio and video, which I could easily set up so all the content could be placed into distinct categories, making scrolling and finding any particular track both easy and aesthetic.
I got to work, and while I will make a more formal announcement later, I'm happy to introduce the Path to Freedom App right here on The Path to Freedom Blog.
Eternally guided, moved, and led
However, this post isn't about The Path to Freedom App. It is about how beautifully the process of manifestation works once we are clear on what we want and have said yes to going for it.
And how we can always trust that Spirit is guiding us every step of the way, toward the manifestation of that dream or vision.
As a foundation, though, we need to realize that Spirit is the One Mind. The Mind that knows and sees all. The Mind that knows the most direct and efficient route toward the good we wish to experience.
We don’t ever need to know how to do it, which is one of the heavyweight excuses the ego uses to keep us from ever even trying to go for it.
Upfront, no one knows how to do it all, and we have all had many such experiences in our lives, when we set out to do something completely clueless as to how to do it. And yet we did it.
We learned how to walk, talk, eat, read, ride a bike, drive a car, learn a new language or sport, and play an instrument, just to name a few.
With any of these, we couldn't have mapped it all out when we first started learning. And yet, we didn’t let that stop us. Somehow we implicitly trusted that we would learn all we needed to learn along the way.
And baam, a period of time later, we had accomplished what we set out to do.
Let’s not trust our little selves
Over the years, I have met so many individuals who were more or less clear on their goals, dreams, and visions, but who were stuck behind the mental wall of not knowing how to do it.
It is normal for us humans to want to have it all figured out. So many of us are run by fear. Fear of not making it. Fear of making it. Fear of being ridiculed or embarrassed are some examples
Having a solid plan and being able to “see” the steps beforehand mitigates that fear.
And while normal, and in many cases fervently justified and validated by those who are hiding behind the fear, it is nothing but a story of misdirected attention.
Whenever we let fear stop us, what we are really saying is, “I can’t do it.” We believe it is all up to us to make it happen, when in reality, we are not the ones doing it.
Heaven, that used to be my core mantra until a few days ago “If I don’t do it, it is not going to get done”.
Believing this, I stressed, pushed, forced, manipulated, and I overworked - because my story was that if I didn’t, it would not happen.
Yes, we need to consciously and actively participate in the happening. Yes, we need to take action. Sometimes big action that catapults us way outside our comfort and comfortability zones, but we are not the ones orchestrating or designing the manifestation.
We are like the actors in a play. We need to play our part, right? But for a play to be a play, and a good play at that it needs the other actors as well as a director who oversees every act and scene.
If we ran around playing all parts while directing, and playing the music as well. Well, I can only imagine what a disaster that would be.
And the same is true with the manifestation of our dreams and visions.
We have talked before about how every dream, vision, goal, or intention we ever catch is nothing but a Divine Seed planted within our consciousness. And how, by virtue of it being planted within us, we have already been qualified as the stewards of that seed.
Being a steward, however, does not mean we have the full responsibility resting on our shoulders. Our responsibility is to play our part, but ours is not the only part that needs to be played for the perfect unfolding to happen.
And from our limited perspective, there is no way in heaven we can know all that needs to happen, how it needs to happen, or when it needs to happen for that seed to flourish and thrive.
All this to say that we are wise not to place too much trust in our little selves, but to place our full and unconditional trust in Spirit and its benevolence.
As the saying goes: The ego says; “Show me God and I will trust you.” Whereupon God says; “Trust me and I will show you.”
Pause and Reset 🧘🏾♂️
Let’s take a moment here to pause and reset. I invite you to close your eyes, bring a gentle smile to your face, and take three deep, conscious breaths with me: Breathe in... release. Breathe in ... release. Breathe in... release.
I invite you to say out loud or in your mind: All is Well. Something Wonderful is Always Happening. Everything is Working for My Highest Good
Manifestation is a journey
Manifestation is like a journey, and just like any journey, whether it is us journeying from our home to the grocery store, to another city, state, or even to the other side of the globe, it all begins with us taking the first step - which is always us choosing to go on the journey.
Unless we make that choice, there's no journey, right?
A quick question: How many times have you gone on a journey where you planned every step out and the journey actually went exactly as you planned?
My guess is not too often.
I mean, even the shortest of journeys from our kitchen to the bathroom is impossible for us to foresee, even though it is perhaps only a few quick steps.
We might start out leaving the kitchen, but then the phone rings, someone knocks on the door, a family member calls out asking for our help, or we walk past a child’s toy on the floor and choose to pick it up and put it back in the child’s room.
Or whatever.
We never know what will happen, not even three seconds from now. And yet, for most of us, most journeys we ever take, we eventually find ourselves reaching our intended destination.
Reaching our impossible dreams is no different. Sure, the time frame may be different. The number of steps required may be different, the need for our inner transformation will certainly be bigger.
But bigger does not necessarily mean harder or more difficult. It just means different.
So our job is to take that first step, then make ourselves available for Spirit to guide us along the perfect path of preparation and unfolding.
Spirit is both like a GPS…
God, or Spirit, or the Universe, or whatever we want to call it, is truly like a GPS. It needs us to set our desired destination, get moving, and follow its guidance.
And that is the beauty of a GPS. As long as we are clear on where we want to go, we can literally be standing anywhere in the world, and through the amazing technology of satellites and whatnot, the GPS will guide us to that exact spot - regardless of how far away it may be.
And should obstacles occur along the way; traffic, construction, accidents, nature, or whatever the case may be, the GPS will find the next best route and safely guide us along that new path.
If we miss a turn or lose ourselves in dreams or thought and forget to pay attention to the GPS and get completely lost, the moment we turn our attention back to the GPS it will guide us right back to our route again.
No berating, no scolding, no mocking.
… And a radio
The thing, though, is that we need to pay attention to Spirit’s guidance. We need to pay attention to that still small voice of intuition, that is eternally whispering words of wisdom and guidance within us.
Let’s say we want to listen to this particular radio station playing our favorite kind of music 24/7.
To listen to this station, we need to tune into the right frequency, right?
If we get even a few MHz off, we will be tuned out of that station and won't be able to enjoy the music we love to hear.
Spirit, the still small voice, they are the same. We need to be tuned in to hear them.
We are being guided all of the time, but so many of us are so busy and preoccupied that we can’t hear the guidance as we receive it.
Or we may not even realize we are being guided, even if we catch it, so we discard the insight, idea, or realization as background noise.
The still small voice speaks to us all, always in a language and a way that we can understand.
If we are not hearing it, it is only because we are not listening. Our favorite radio station broadcasts all day long, but unless we are tuned into it, we won’t hear it, right?
It is not that they aren't broadcasting; it is that we aren't tuned to the right frequency.
In the same way, we need to cultivate a habit of becoming still and attentive enough to hear the voice of intuition as it speaks to us. And then obviously obey it whenever we catch it.
No censoring it, no discarding it.
Listen and Obey.
If you are not yet fully tuned into your unique inner voice, a beautiful practice to start building the habit of listening is to stop every time you are about to make a minor choice, such as which clothes to wear, what to cook for dinner, which podcast to tune into, and so on.
Before you make the choice, I invite you to stop, turn within, and ask something like “What clothes should I wear today"?”, or “What should I have for dinner?”.
Ask these questions and then wait for the answer to stir within you. This is not about us coming up with the answer, but this is us listening for the answer to reveal itself.
In the beginning, if you don’t catch anything, I invite you to keep trying. Eventually you will find the right frequency and begin to hear or feel a pull or nudge in one direction or another.
And as we grow more and more tuned in, we can “outsource” more and more, bigger and bigger decisions to Spirit and the voice of intuition.
To the best of my ability, I have given the still small voice permission to guide me for years now. And while I don’t always go in the direction I thought I would, or end up where I thought I would, I am always being guided forward and upward.
Perfect Preparation and Unfolding are always happening.
